Have you ever heard that someone will tell 10 people about a bad service, product or an experience yet they will only tell 1 or 2 when they have a fantastic experience?
How many times do we go out of our way to call or email a company about a great story vs a bad one?
I have always been a huge fan of sharing things that made/make me happy! A new product, an awesome store, a great cookbook, a super quiet beach, a person at a company or store that went out of their way to give great service, you get the picture.
Talking about something good, makes me feel great! The excitement just oozes out of me and becomes infectious...It makes me happy to share the good stuff!
Which brings me to THIS, a new feature here on Souffle Bombay. Each week, on Sunday, I am going to share a few things that I think others need to know about. People, places & things.
They way I see it we all need inspiration & good things! I hope you enjoy it!
People: Marie from Little Kitchie
In a word...a-dorable! Marie just might be the cutest thing in Texas!! She makes some tasty grub too!! Here are 3 of her not-to-be-missed dishes:
Late Night Pasta (I am SO going to show up at her house at 2am one night for this!)
Greek Roasted Shrimp with Olives & Feta (A gorgeous dish!)
Green Chili Cheddar Biscuits (She's from Texas y'all!)
Places: Last week I was in Wildwood, NJ for 4 days with my extended family. I hadn't been there in over 15 years and honestly thought it was not a beach I wanted to be at as an adult (more of a party-town). Man was I surprised!! The beach where we were at (where Wildwood meets Wildwood Crest) was a-mazing!! The water was so clear we saw at least 50 dolphin...about 20 of them decided to stay and frolic right out in front of us for over an hour AND a small sting ray swam up to my kids and checked them out for about 3 minutes - amazing!! The lifeguards were fantastic and full of information about each days water concerns (I don't always find that at beaches). The boardwalk was great too, Morey's Pier was so clean! The rides there were so pretty too! I have never before seen a double-decker carousel that looked like it came straight out of a fairy village - gorgeous! And of course the famous ferris wheel - the light show that thing puts on is incredible! A great time was had by all!
Things: One of my absolute favorite kitchen tools is the OXO Chopper! I have been using a manual chopper for years for the small jobs. The first time I used one, I was like...what took me so long?? Sure a chefs knife can get the job done - or my food processor for that matter. BUT this chopper gets it done in seconds - seconds, plus you get to let a little aggression out. Bam, bam, bam, bamity-bam-bam and you're done! No big clean up, no time spent - just d-o-n-e! I am constantly chopping garlic, onions, shallots & jalapenos. This little guy is one of my right hands in the kitchen - I pack it for everywhere I go too! Another perk? The kids love to use it, it helps them get the job done and it is so safe!! LOVE it!!
What do you have to share?? I am all ears, I get so excited when I find out about awesome new things (to me) that others have known about forever. Spill!!
Have a great week!
